Forbush Drive in in New Castle

ALWAYS the best! So so yummy custard. Wish they weren't so busy though. But worth the wait. Bananas my favorite. This is the summer treat that sweet dreams are made of. Draws them from miles away.

The ice cream is fantastic! The prices are cheap! The downside?.... How long the wait is and how terrible (and dangerous) the parking lot is. Typical wait is 20+ minutes standing. They don't have enough picnik tables and the parking lot DESPERATELY NEEDS LINES. If they drew lines they could fit more cars and it would be safer.

This is one of our favorite Ice cream places, unfortunately, we live about 40 min away so it is reserved for special occasions. Their black raspberry is by far my favorite flavor of all time.

I always get a black raspberry milkshake when we visit family bcuz it's THE best thing ever!! The girls are always friendly. It is very good frozen custard, worth the trip, or on a busy day, worth the wait! Best thing anywhere around New Castle. Wish they were open all year.

As a hospice nurse, had a pt ask for a Blueberry Milkshake from Forbush's as his biggest desire, of course I ran right out to get it! Perfect just the way it is! And yes, to the previous reviewer, I have written checks for my ice cream! It was really no big deal!

Standing in line seeing how rude some people were being to them and then throwing money at them, those workers never took their smile off of their faces through all of it! The best tasting homemade ice cream in the USA. Forbush's is number #1. You should see the lines of people that go to thist ice cream shop. The ice cream is creamy delicious. I stopped in traveling from Erie to my home in Pittsburgh. I savored the ice cream slowly. Awesome ice cream.

If you have not been to forbush get your shoes on and go. You will be disappointed in anything you get there. I drive about an hour and a half to get it their ice cream.

Best frozen custard ever!

They have decent ice cream but I won't be going back there until they follow safety protocol. Went there the other day and left because the employees were handling cash and food with no masks or gloves on. I wasn't going to say anything publicly (reported it to the local health authorities to deal with) but decided to leave a review after seeing the way they responded to another reviewer. Your customer service is severely lacking.

AMAZING! As always! This place is GREAT and always has been for me ever since I was just a child! I live Forbush's and I probably always will! They have a wide array of wonderful flavors and the friendliest staff!! It's almost a shame to see them close every year! But honestly, I always highly recommend getting their blackberry flavor in both ice cream and shakes because it's soooo good but so are all their flavors really. Great prices, very much so worth it!

An ice cream tradition in the area. An outdoor/walk-up ice cream parlor. This plane doesn't carry that generic soft serve. Forbush's has some of the best I've cream in the region, including their famous black raspberry. Expect a long line on warm nights and weekends. Also, make sure you bring cash or check. No cards accepted.

I have been going here with my family since I was a kid. My family always stops when we are visiting from out of town. It is one of our favorite places to get ice cream. Try the blackberry it is delicious. 😁

I grew up with Forbush's Frozen Custard. Its been around for decades for good reason. Delicious ice cream in so many varieties. My favorite is their super large, fresh fruit and banana split. Most everyone in the area, young and old, visit every summer. Its privately owned and operated and it shows in the quality and time-tested recipes.

The best ever and nothing else even comes close to this best ever treat.
